GE LOGIQ P8, P9 and P10 Ultrasound — Model Service
Nest box, checks, maintenance, fault-finding and repair of the LOGIQ P cart platform from R1 to R4.5
A model course for engineers who have passed Ultrasound Service — Level 1 and Level 2 and, ideally, the GE LOGIQ model course. Where that course follows the portable LOGIQ e, this one takes apart the LOGIQ P8, P9 and P10 cart platform: the nest box with its probe interface, core board, front-end supply, I/O box and PC module; the hardware releases from R1 to R4.5 and why they decide which part fits; the start-up, the service desktop access classes and what each built-in diagnostic proves; maintenance to the manufacturer's care schedule with both air filters, probes, controls and backups; fault-finding from the error log to the board, the probe port or the hospital network, with real cases from the LOGIQ P family; and replacement, software and settings handled so that the system identity, options and patient data survive. Independent course: not affiliated with or endorsed by GE HealthCare. GE and LOGIQ are trademarks of their owner; other names are trademarks of their respective owners.
You know how a LOGIQ works. This course is about the cart in front of you and the board that release really uses.
- One model name covers several hardware generations. A LOGIQ P9 can be an R1 or an R4.5 machine, and the boards, drive, power module and operator panel changed along the way; parts ordered by name alone do not fit or are refused at start-up.
- Typical calls end with a board or a software reload while the cause is a clogged bottom filter nobody knew about, a probe with dead elements, a shared mains circuit or an archive that cannot read the character set.
- Repairs lose what cannot be bought back: patient data on an encrypted drive without its recovery key, options when the identity EEPROM stays on the old core board, presets restored onto the wrong software version.
After the course you can
Curriculum
Identify which LOGIQ P model and hardware release is in front of you, name the boards in the nest box and their place in the signal and power path, and know where software, settings and the system identity live before you open anything.free
22 min02Checks and diagnostics: start-up, the service desktop, board tests, probes, phantom and electrical safety
Read the start-up as a test sequence, use the service desktop at the access level you legitimately hold, know what each built-in diagnostic proves and what it does not, check probes and image quality against a baseline, and perform the electrical safety tests on the console and every probe.23 min03Planned maintenance per the manual: cleaning, filters and fans, probes, controls, backups and records
Plan and carry out a LOGIQ P8, P9 or P10 maintenance visit to the manufacturer's care schedule, including both air filters, probes and ports, trackball and mechanics, data backup and a record that shows trends.21 min04Troubleshooting: boot and software, no image or noise, probe recognition, artefacts, monitor and touch, network and DICOM
Collect the evidence a LOGIQ P8, P9 or P10 already holds, then place a fault in power, PC and software, front end, probe and port, operator interface or network, using the manual's trees, the error types and substitution before any part is ordered.24 min05Replacements and return to service: preparation, nest box boards, software and options, settings restore, checks and records
Prepare a LOGIQ P8, P9 or P10 repair without losing data or creating hazards, replace boards and assemblies at procedure level with the traps of this platform in mind, handle software and options only through the manufacturer's route, restore settings and prove the system before release.23 min—Exam

The certificate
Pass the exam and get a certificate of course completion with your name, hours and score. Every certificate has a unique number and a public verification page, so an employer or a customer can check it in one click. It confirms completion of the course; it is not an educational document (diploma) and not a manufacturer authorisation.

Written by a service engineer working with medical equipment since 2014, including 6.5 years at GE Healthcare and service supervision at Mindray, together with the engineers of Service Engineer.
FAQ
Is this GE HealthCare training?
No. It is an independent course, not affiliated with or endorsed by GE HealthCare. GE and LOGIQ are trademarks of their owner, and other names are trademarks of their respective owners. The course does not replace the manufacturer's procedures and does not grant authorisation, passwords, service keys, licences or access to restricted service tools.
Which models and releases does it cover?
The LOGIQ P8, P9 and P10, which share a service manual with the LOGIQ P7. The P8 and P10 exist from release R4; the P9 runs from R1 to R4.5. The course points out where releases differ. Other LOGIQ lines are mentioned only in general terms.
How is it different from the GE LOGIQ model course?
That course follows the portable LOGIQ e with its external adapter and battery. This one is about a mains-powered cart with a removable nest box, a PC module on the core board, release-specific boards, an identity EEPROM that the options depend on, encrypted drives on later releases and a service desktop organised by access class. The method carries over; the hardware and the traps do not.
Do I need the service manual?
You should have the manufacturer's service and user documentation for the system you work on. The course explains and orders the work; exact procedures, limits and part numbers come from the documentation for your model and release.
Does it cover software reload and option keys?
Only at procedure level: what to back up and record before, what can go wrong and what to check after. Software and options are handled per the manufacturer's procedure by authorised personnel with the proper keys and media. The course does not cover obtaining, generating or transferring keys or reaching restricted service levels.
What does the certificate say?
GE LOGIQ P8, P9 and P10 Ultrasound — Model Service (Endorsement), with your name, the hours, the date and your exam score, a unique number and a public verification page.
Can my company buy seats for a team?
