GE LOGIQ Ultrasound — Model Service
Architecture, checks, maintenance, diagnostics and repair of the LOGIQ family, with the LOGIQ e as the reference machine
Part of the program: Ultrasound Service Engineer — full program (21 h) →
A model course for engineers who have passed Ultrasound Service — Level 1 and, ideally, Ultrasound Probes. It takes the LOGIQ e apart on paper: its master board, back end PC, power and battery, probe port and docking cart; the power-up as a diagnostic sequence; the functional checks and the service platform; preventive maintenance with the manufacturer's safety limits; fault-finding from boot to DICOM with real cases from LOGIQ e, P, S, E and F systems; and replacement, software reload and return to service. Where cart LOGIQs differ, the course says so in general terms. Independent course: not affiliated with or endorsed by GE HealthCare. GE and LOGIQ are trademarks of their owner.
You know how an ultrasound system works. This course is about how a LOGIQ fails.
- LOGIQ systems are everywhere, from portables in emergency rooms to cart systems in radiology, and many run without a manufacturer contract. Engineers meet them with a generic ultrasound background and a basic service manual that stops where the real faults begin.
- Typical calls end in replaced boards and reloaded software while the cause sits in a dirty filter, a burned adapter, a missing supply rail, gel in a probe port or a disk of the wrong size.
- Data and options are lost in repairs: no backup before a reload, the wrong software version for the keys, a machine whose label does not match what is inside.
After the course you can
Curriculum
Identify which LOGIQ you are facing and how it is built, name the main assemblies of the LOGIQ e and their role in the signal and power path, and know where a cart LOGIQ differs from it before you open either.free
22 min02Power-up, functional checks and the service platform
Read the LOGIQ e power-up as a diagnostic sequence, run the manual's functional checks in a sensible order, use the service platform's logs and PC diagnostics without special access, back up presets and patient data correctly, and set an image quality baseline with a phantom.22 min03Care and preventive maintenance: inspection, battery, probes, electrical safety and records
Plan and perform a LOGIQ e preventive maintenance visit that covers cleaning and physical inspection, the battery, the probes and the electrical safety tests with the manufacturer's limits, and leave a record that the next engineer can compare against.23 min04Diagnostics and fault-finding: boot, power, image, peripherals and logs
Localise a LOGIQ fault to power, the PC and software side, the probe and front end, or peripherals and network, using the power-up stages, the logs and simple substitution tests, and collect the data needed if the case has to be escalated.24 min05Replacement procedures, software reload and return to service
Prepare a LOGIQ for repair without losing data or creating hazards, understand what each typical replacement demands before and after, handle software reload and options at procedure level, and return the system to clinical use with complete checks and records.24 min—Exam

The certificate
Pass the exam and get a certificate of course completion with your name, hours and score. Every certificate has a unique number and a public verification page, so an employer or a customer can check it in one click. It confirms completion of the course; it is not an educational document (diploma) and not a manufacturer authorisation.
Who it is for
Who it is for
- Engineers who have completed Ultrasound Service — Level 1 or have equivalent experience
- Hospital biomedical teams and independent service companies maintaining GE LOGIQ systems
Who teaches
Written by a service engineer working with medical equipment since 2014, including 6.5 years at GE Healthcare and service supervision at Mindray, together with the engineers of Service Engineer.
FAQ
Is this GE HealthCare training?
No. It is an independent course, not affiliated with or endorsed by GE HealthCare. GE and LOGIQ are trademarks of their owner. The course does not replace the manufacturer's procedures and does not grant authorisation, passwords, service keys or access to proprietary service tools.
Which LOGIQ models does it cover?
The reference machine is the portable LOGIQ e with software R8.x, because its basic service manual is followed chapter by chapter. Cart systems of the P, S, E, F and V series are covered in general terms and through field cases; board names, voltages and procedures for those models come from their own documentation.
Do I need the service manual?
You should have the manufacturer's service and user documentation for the system you work on. The course explains and orders the work; exact procedures, limits and part numbers come from the documentation for your model and software revision.
Does it cover software reload and option keys?
Only at procedure level: what to back up and record before, what to check after, and that licences and option keys are entered per GE's procedure by authorised personnel with the valid keys for that system. It does not cover obtaining, generating or transferring keys.
What does the certificate say?
GE LOGIQ Ultrasound — Model Service (Endorsement), with your name, the hours, the date and your exam score, a unique number and a public verification page.
Can my company buy seats for a team?
