Italray Clinodigit EVO: large cassette stalls mid-travel
What happened
When a large cassette was loaded lengthwise along the table, it stopped around the middle of the travel and never reached the bin, so the cassette-size sensor was not tripped and the unit reported an error. Small cassettes loaded normally.
What was checked
- Checked loading with smaller cassettes
- Watched for slippage between the gripper and the cassette right after capture
- Checked and adjusted the cassette clamping force
- Cleaned the drive belts and re-adjusted their tension
- Ran calibration and alignment procedures
- Checked the position potentiometer
- Compared the two transport motors under load — the engineers found one running late

- In this case the engineers found a worn bearing in one of the two drive motors: that motor lagged behind the other, the belt loops pulled unevenly in the middle of the travel, and the cassette slowed down enough to stop short of the size sensor. Belt cleaning, tension adjustment and recalibration only masked the symptom.
