Power supply and RF stage: no output, low output and what a failure leaves behind

Follow energy from the mains inlet to the output socket, tell a power supply fault from an RF stage, switching or sensing fault by measurements made from the outside, work safely around high-voltage rails and RF output, and recognise the collateral damage a stage failure leaves so that a repair does not fail again.
