Safety of the engineer and the patient

Prepare a ventilator for service so that nobody is put at risk: the patient is off the machine, the gas is isolated and depressurised, the contaminated parts are handled correctly, nothing that can feed an oxygen fire touches the gas path, and the machine is tagged until it has been verified.
